TMS Talent Group has announced yet another acquisition, less than one month after their last.

The recruitment powerhouse has acquired New Zealand based travel recruitment agency, TopDog Personnel based in Auckland.

TMS seems hungrier for acquisitions than the Travel Weekly team are for cake on a Friday.

God help you if you try to deny us our cake day.

This announcement follows less than a month after TMS Talent acquired Sydney based inPlace Recruitment, a highly regarded travel & hospitality recruitment agency.

“We have wanted to reconnect with the New Zealand travel market for some time now and this was the perfect opportunity” John Terry, TMS Talent Global Managing Director, said.

“With the job market for the travel industry in New Zealand looking strong, now is the time to bring TMS Talent back to New Zealand and create Trans-Tasman partnerships with clients and job seekers once again.”

Helen Cambell, who was the Managing Director of TopDog Personnel for 14 years, announced earlier this year in February that she would no longer manage the business.

“I have decided to move to Hawkes Bay and felt by working remotely I would not be able to provide a personal service to my clients and job seekers, which is something I have prided myself and the business on,” she said.

Helen explained in an earlier press release her plans for the business going forward.

“I had been searching for a potential purchaser for TopDog; it is a strong brand and I didn’t want to see it fade, however, once I had met with John and he described the plans for TMS Talent in New Zealand I was confident they would continue ‘putting the personal in personnel”

“This purchase gives job seekers from TopDog Personnel access to local and global opportunities in travel and hospitality, and employers the chance to reach a broader pool of candidates,” said Terry.

TopDog Personnel will be rebranded to TMS Talent NZ, with the office being based at Level 19, Huawei Centre, 120 Albert Street, Auckland and will work closely with the other TMS Talent Group offices across Australia, Asia and the UK to continue to provide the best recruitment service for travel industry businesses and employees.
