Topdeck Travel has expanded its Asia program with five new small group tours spanning China, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and the Maldives.
Departures will be starting in November 2026 and will be capped at 18 travellers. The new itineraries are designed for young travellers seeking a mix of iconic sights, off-the-beaten-track experiences and independent exploration time.
Highlights across the collection include a sunrise Great Wall experience in China, Komodo dragon encounters in Indonesia, an elephant 4×4 safari in Sri Lanka, and whale shark snorkelling in the Maldives.
The five new trips:
- China: Modern Cities & Ancient Worlds (13 days, from $3,999pp) – takes in a sunrise Great Wall visit from a local farm stay, a food-focused walking tour, the Terracotta Warriors and Chongqing.
- Sri Lanka: Safaris & Shorelines (13 days, from $2,799pp) – combines an elephant 4×4 safari and glamping with surf lessons in Hiriketiya, tea plantation visits and cooking classes.
- Komodo & Beyond: Islands & Indigenous Stories (12 days, from $2,999pp) – opens with Komodo dragon spotting before moving through Flores, Lombok and the Gili Islands, with flights used between islands rather than long sea crossings.
- Bali: Culture and Coastlines (11 days, from $2,099pp) – spends four nights in Ubud before heading north to the less-visited Pemuteran and Menjangan Island.
- Maldives: Sunsets & Sea Life (8 days, from $2,999pp) – stays on two local islands rather than a resort, with an NGO-supported whale shark safari, manta ray snorkelling and a beach clean-up.
Topdeck general manager of global sales Anna Fawcett said the range was built to respond to sameness in the group travel market, giving travellers the major sights alongside “more unexpected experiences and plenty of freedom to explore.”
She said the Maldives product in particular was designed to make the destination more accessible for solo travellers, pairing local island stays with everyday island life rather than a traditional resort stay.
Topdeck, founded in 1973, operates small group trips for 18-32 year-olds across Europe, Asia, New Zealand, North Africa and the Middle East.
