Tourism Australia has announced the appointment of Robin Mack as its new managing director.

Mack’s appointment marks an exciting new chapter for the Australian tourism industry. With his extensive experience, collaborative leadership style and deep understanding of global markets, he is well placed to champion Australian tourism operators and destinations on the international stage.

Mack has worked with Tourism Australia for more than a decade, most recently serving as executive general manager, global markets and business events. In this role, he oversaw Tourism Australia’s 16 key global markets, led the commercial team responsible for global distribution development and partnerships, and managed Business Events Australia.

Prior to joining Tourism Australia, Mack built a broad career across the travel and tourism sector, working with travel retailers, wholesalers and airlines before specialising in destination marketing.

With nearly 30 years’ experience in tourism, including many years leading Tourism Australia’s operations in key international markets, Mr Mack brings a strong global perspective to the role.

Tourism Australia congratulated Mr Mack on his appointment and said it looks forward to working closely with him in his new role.
