Tourism Australia has developed a new online map to help Aussies navigate domestic travel as restrictions continue to ease across the country.
A helpful tool for travellers eager to hit the road, the new map essentially provides an overview of Australia’s national picture, with click-through links to each state and territory for further advice, including the status of state borders, latest travel information and other helpful industry resources.
The map can be accessed at australia.com, alongside other helpful resources for the travel industry.
It comes as Australia begins to slowly re-open for business.
The federal, state and territory governments have developed plans providing a pathway for Australia to move towards COVID-safe communities, allowing us to start travelling domestically again.
State by state, borders are beginning to open again, with New South Wales opening to travellers across the country on Monday.
Western Australia and Queensland, which both maintain border closures, have also flagged eased intrastate travel restrictions beginning in June, moves lauded by their states’ respective tourism organisations.
Moreover, caravan parks and campgrounds in South Australia’s Flinders Ranges are now welcoming travellers from across the state.
In light of these travel changes, the new map from Tourism Australia comes just in the nick of time.
