Tourism Australia has been busy of late, preparing to host its industry webinar tomorrow morning after recently joining Virtuoso in New Zealand for the first time post-pandemic.

Speaking at the webinar will be the Minister for Trade and Tourism the Hon Don Farrell  and Tourism Australia’s managing director Phillipa Harrison.

Harrison will share some insights on the Future of Demand Project, which is based on research across 20 markets, uncovering the changing travel landscape, and identifying future travel sectors and opportunities.

Also joining the webinar will be Nadia O’Connell from Firescreek Botanical Winery who will provide a perspective from the industry. You can sign up for the webinar here.

Meanwhile, in partnership with Tourism Australia, Virtuoso has been meeting again with its members in New Zealand this week.

Account director, member relations Michele Duncan and recently appointed account manager, member relations Jen Pagett, have spent the week reconnecting with the New Zealand-based Virtuoso community in person and continuing to forge relationships without the need for a Zoom meeting.

Their visit culminated in a luxury networking dinner. Virtuoso Advisors from around the country gathered to indulge in a degustation of local produce whilst learning why there really is nothing like Australia.

Daniel Wright from Tourism Australia commented: “This event has brought together some of New Zealand’s leading luxury travel advisors. We are thrilled to work alongside Virtuoso to keep Australia on the map for Kiwi travellers.

“With New Zealand’s borders closed for over two years, there is plenty of pent-up demand for high-end experiential travel.

“We are here to help Virtuoso members turn Australian travel dreams into reality”.

Fiona Dalton, general manager Virtuoso Australia & New Zealand added: “It’s great to see our membership team engaging face-to-face with our New Zealand members, who are such an important part of our regional Virtuoso community.

“Here at Virtuoso, we’re believers in the power of human connection, be it connecting Virtuoso with members and partners or assisting members to connect their travellers with the best experiences from around the world. This week in New Zealand is a great example of that.”
