Trafalgar is giving travel advisors a new reason to sell its fledgling river cruise product, launching a limited-time promotion offering up to 50 per cent off selected European departures as the brand looks to fill remaining 2026 capacity.
The River Spotlight Savings, available on select Rhine and Danube sailings, come just days after the brand christened its first two river ships – Trafalgar Verity on the Rhine and Trafalgar Reverie on the Danube – in back-to-back ceremonies in Amsterdam and Passau earlier this month.
The promotion includes waived single supplements on featured sailings and up to €1,000 in shipboard credit per suite stateroom, and is combinable with Trafalgar’s existing 5 per cent Past Guest Discount – making it a straightforward upsell for advisors with clients already in the Trafalgar database.
To support advisors in selling the product, Trafalgar has simultaneously released a River Agent Selling Guide covering ship specifications, deck plans, itinerary breakdowns, pre- and post-extension options, and group booking strategies.
The move follows Trafalgar’s broader trade push around the river launch, which has included fam trip access and agent rates of up to 60% off. Deputy CEO Melissa DaSilva has previously indicated the brand aims for river cruise to represent around 20 per cent of its business by 2029, with a fleet target of 10 ships by 2030.
The River Spotlight Savings apply to new bookings only and must be made by 28 May 2026. Advisors can view eligible departures and download the selling guide at agents.ttc.com.
