When Trafalgar announced its return to river cruising last year, managing director Toni Ambler described it as a response to what Australian and New Zealand travellers were already doing anyway – bundling land tours with river or ocean cruises. This week, the brand made it official, launching Trafalgar Verity on the Rhine and Trafalgar Reverie on the Danube within 24 hours of each other.
The Rhine debut was marked with a three-day inaugural sailing out of Amsterdam on April 10-12, hosting more than 100 trade partners, media, and TTC Tour Brands staff. The Danube ship followed on April 11, departing on a sold-out Best of the Danube itinerary from Passau to Budapest.

Both 128-guest vessels carry the Trafalgar land-tour DNA onto the water – Be My Guest dinners, MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® experiences, and Local Specialists – positioned deliberately below sister brand Uniworld at an accessible price point. Verity sails a 10-day Basel-to-Amsterdam Rhine itinerary; Reverie works the Danube between Passau and Budapest, calling at Vienna and Bratislava.

“We’ve always been about making it easy for travellers to connect with the heart and soul of every destination. Now, we’re bringing that same philosophy to Europe’s iconic rivers,” said Melissa DaSilva, Deputy CEO & Chief Sales Officer, TTC Tour Brands
Trade feedback from the Amsterdam launch was strong, with TRAVELSAVERS CMO Nicole Mazza calling the product a natural extension of what advisors already sell – elevated but approachable, and easy to recommend with confidence.
A third ship, Trafalgar Harmonie, is set to debut on the Seine in 2027, with further fleet expansion flagged through to 2030.
Advisor intel: Best of the Rhine & Amsterdam is priced from A$5,699 / NZ$6,399 per person; Best of the Danube from A$4,399 / NZ$4,949 per person. Selling guides and Travel Advisor Rates of up to 60 per cent off are available at agents.ttc.com.
