Due to increasing oil prices and the carbon tax, Travel DAZE tickets are set to increase by 20% to $595.
In a statement released today to shareholders and staff, Travel DAZE event organisers said that while ticket prices remain stable this week, an increase is likely soon.
Consumer watchdogs and The A triple Sea have urged would-be attendees to purchase their tickets in the next few days at www.traveldaze.com.au.
The Watchdog’s spokesperson, Joost Maidup said “The tickets are very well priced and things this good don’t last long. Just ask my ex-wife”.
The statement released by owners of Travel DAZE, the Misfits Media Company said “Due to the recent interest rate decreases, the forthcoming election and a flattening property market we are left with no choice but to pass on these costs. Travel DAZE still offers tremendous value for money and even with an election called, the Tourism Minister still promises to be there. He asked Malcolm and so long as he’s home by 8pm, it’s all dandy.”
Meanwhile in an interesting twist, Travel DAZE event director Daisy Melwani said “The backpacker tax is making it really hard to attract fruit pickers to this country. The knock on affect is that there’s no cash-strapped Germans picking grapes, so the wineries are employing Brits who whinge all the time”.
“The ramifications of this is that the cost of wine has increased significantly and we’re having to pass on the cost of all that free flowing booze at the cocktail party” Melwani commented, after her third glass of Pinot Gris.
