Agents from across Australia gathered at Sea World Resort on the Gold Coast for the Travel Partners annual conference at the weekend.
The company was the first travel group to use the recently completed purpose built conference centre at the resort.
With the theme of “Power your Growth”, the focus of this year’s conference was on how to use digital marketing and social media to attract new customers. The delegates were addressed by speakers from Fairfax Media, social marketing expert Kim Skilton and Tony Carter MD of Amadeus IT who provided insights into different consumer groups and their behaviours towards travel purchases.
Managing partner Jeff Hakim welcomed delegates and unveiled a raft of new initiatives the group has already implemented along with others it will put in place in the new year. These include the opening of two new branded outlets in Merrylands and Padstow in NSW with further stores to open early in the new year.
Hakim also highlighted the company’s continued growth, based on attracting the “right calibre” of agents to the group which Hakim described as “Determined Go Getters”.
He also drew attention to Travel Partners’ “comprehensive” consumer protection insurance which he said offered “much better earning potential” than many alternatives.
