TravelCube introduces 2-hour cancellation

TravelCube is making life easier for travel agents, covering if you make a mistake booking instant purchase hotels by eliminating all penalty fees, so long as you cancel a room within two-hours of it being confirmed.

Human errors do occur with instant purchase items, however now they do not always have to come at a cost.

The new pain-free process for travel agents means you simply cancel a hotel item online within two hours of it being confirmed, then within the next 24 hours send an email containing the booking ID and the hotel name to 2foryou@travelcube.com.au. Agents can then simply check their booking on-line after 48 hours to view their refund.

To qualify, bookings must be checking in to the hotel more than five days from the date of creation.

TravelCube Pacific’s vice president of sales and marketing, John Stucci, says the ‘2foryou’ initiative – which involves TravelCube absorbing the standard hotel cancellation charges – recognises that everyone makes mistakes.

The new ‘2foryou’ launch is just the latest instalment in TravelCube’s ongoing efforts to make life easier for Australian travel agents, adding to the recent move of no credit card fees, no currency fluctuation charges, and the eliminated cancellation and amendment fees from its retail booking website.

In addition, TravelCube this week eliminated the need for agents to reconfirm bookings, with the change applying to any booking created after 9am on 11 July.

“We have received enormous feedback from travel agents who clearly appreciate all our efforts to make the booking process as simple and flexible as possible,” Stucci said.

“Rest assured we will continue to look for opportunities to enhance the way we interact with all our valued partners.”
