TravelManagers hosted a series of social events throughout Australia over the past months with key themes of catching up with friends and colleagues, taking a break from the regular office routine plus staying up to date with the latest travel industry news.

The events, held in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, brought personal travel managers (PTMs) and partner suppliers together to mark the midpoint of a highly productive 2024.

TravelManagers’ executive general manager, Michael Gazal, said the focus was firmly on fun and camaraderie.

“These events are a highlight on our annual calendar, providing a fantastic opportunity for everyone in the TravelManagers’ family to compare notes with their fellow PTMs and our partner suppliers, find out what’s going on in their businesses and meet a few new faces while enjoying some great food and wine,” he said.

Gold Coast: Palm Beach Surf Life Saving Club turned on a spectacularly sunny winter day for Gold Coast event. (L-R) PTMs Dionne Smith, Aileen Collins, Tracy Cosgriff, Melanie Harrop, Sarena Taylor, Janice Lee, Kathryn Watson and Lisa Leary.
For Queensland PTMs, the event was a chance to get to know their new Business Partnership Manager, Nicole Henderson. Gold Coast: (L-R) back row Heather Fijol, Emma Ross, Julia McLean, Valerie Ireland, Kerry Cleasby, Warren Parkes, Melanie Rocks and Kerstin Rheinlander; front row Adela Backhouse, Christie Gowan, Vicki Kneen, Amanda Anthony, Nicole Henderson and Rose Febo.
Intrepid’s SA Business Development Manager, Leith Reynolds (pictured far right), says he enjoyed a fabulous catch up with a chance to meet some new faces at North Adelaide’s Lion Hotel: (L-R) TravelManagers’ Michael Gazal, Carolyn Johnston and Prue Thomson with Zoe Francis (Bunnik Tours), Johnny McCarten (On the Go Tours) and Leigh Reynolds (Intrepid Travel).
Sunshine Coast: (L-R) TravelManagers’ Tracey Mills, Julie Jenkinson, Julia McLean, Joy Varga and Nicole Henderson.
WA: Enjoying a fun day out in Perth, (L-R) Tanya Nielsen, Samantha Morgan (Norwegian Cruise Lines), Erryn Morris, Michael Gazal, Lyndall Hewitt and Kathy Millett.
Vic: There was a huge turnout in Melbourne for darts and dining, (L-R) Mick Boylan (Regional Manager, Viva Holidays), Tenneil Lawson (APT), Molly Savage (APT), Annabel Herman (APT), Nick Sherrard (Singapore Airlines), Peter Lombardi (Lufthansa) and George Siljanoski (KLM)
NSW: Enjoying fantastic food, good wine and even better conversation at Baia The Italian on Sydney’s Cockle Bay Wharf, (L-R) Ramon Drew (Viking), with TravelManagers’ Michelle Michael-Pecora, Michael Gazal, Sue Kuti and Julianne Gazal-Rizk.
