APT Travel Group’s Travelmarvel has announced plans for a brand new premium small ship – the first ever designed and built specifically for the brand.

Scheduled to enter service in April 2029, the new small ship will provide access to smaller ports and destinations beyond the reach of larger cruise ships.

Its ice-class hull will support a range of itineraries, including voyages to some of the world’s most remote regions.

While Travelmarvel has operated ocean cruises for years through chartered vessels, this marks the first ship designed and built specifically for the brand, allowing it to tailor the experience exclusively to Travelmarvel itineraries and travellers.

“As demand continues to grow, we identified a gap in the market for a contemporary small ship that delivers quality, comfort and engaging destination experiences at great value,” The APT Travel Group CEO David Cox said.

“The launch represents an exciting step forward for the brand and the future of small ship cruising. This is one of the most significant investments in Travelmarvel’s history and demonstrates our commitment to the brand’s continued evolution and growth.”

The new-build has been designed for travellers seeking a relaxed, enriching, yacht-like cruising experience that balances comfort, quality and value. It is positioned to be the market-leading four-star-plus premium small ship offering.

Further details, including specifications and inaugural itineraries, will be announced closer to launch.
