Travelmarvel has launched its Africa 2027-2028 program, giving travellers an intimate way to discover Southern and East Africa’s landscapes, wildlife and cultures.

The APT Travel Group subsidiary has designed the new season as Small Group Tours, capping numbers at 24 guests to deliver an authentic, personalised journey with the flexibility to travel at guests’ own pace. Travelmarvel tour directors and local guides support travellers throughout, while safari guides double as drivers in East Africa.

The 2027-2028 collection introduces several new additions, including a stay at Mdluli Safari Lodge in Kruger National Park and a new Cape Town property, The Commodore Hotel. Travellers can also enjoy new Insider Experiences such as an olive and wine tasting at Surval Boutique Olive Estate, plus Enhance Your Journey options including a Bo-Kaap Cooking Tour in Cape Town.

Travelmarvel’s Africa 2027-2028 tours are on sale now, with couples able to save up to $2,600.

Highlighted itineraries

The 15-day Cape Town to Chobe Adventure stands out as a highlight itinerary, taking guests from Cape Town to Kasane. The tour includes 14 nights in premium accommodation and up to seven game-viewing activities, alongside Insider Experiences such as African drumming and a Cape Malay Welcome Dinner in Cape Town, a full-day tour of the Cape Peninsula, and ostrich hand-feeding in Oudtshoorn. Guests also enjoy a stay in a premium tent at Mdluli Safari Lodge, capped off with a boma dinner in Kruger National Park.

For travellers seeking the complete continent experience, the 28-day Grand African Journey travels from Cape Town to Kilimanjaro, covering Southern Africa, Kenya and Tanzania. The itinerary offers up to 22 game-viewing activities and includes a visit to a Maasai village in Amboseli National Park, a bush dinner under the stars in the Maasai Mara, a stay at Kati Kati Tented Camp in the Serengeti, and a visit to a local school in Karatu.

Travellers wanting to focus solely on East Africa can choose the 14-day Kenya and Tanzania Adventure, from Nairobi to Kilimanjaro. Limited to 22 guests, the tour features up to 15 game drives with expert game trackers.
