Travelmarvel has launched its 2023 Canada & Alaska program, featuring slick itineraries that highlight the region’s spectacular natural beauty and rich wildlife.

The tour operator’s product manager Brooke Rolley said the reopening of Canada and Alaska and the welcoming back of visitors was a significant milestone for Aussie travellers.

“It’s a safe destination, one that has been popular with Australian travellers for decades,” she said.

“There are so many reasons to start travelling again and to explore a part of the world filled with natural wonders and amazing wildlife encounters. You can see the beauty of the Rocky Mountains and its emerald lakes, and then cruise the coast of British Columbia and Alaska, seeing incredible places such as the Inside Passage and Glacier Bay.

“We have been working hard with our Canadian suppliers to showcase the best of Canada and Alaska, and our premium tours, which are outstanding value for money, do exactly that.”

Earlybird bookings offer savings of up to $2,600 per couple on key journeys, including the 21-day Reflections of the Rockies & Alaska Cruise tour, which is priced from $9,195 per person twin share.

The tour includes a stay at the iconic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, a First Nations-inspired feast at Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre, an overnight stay at spectacular Mike Wiegele Heli Village, and a visit to Grouse Mountain Bear Refuge.

There is also a two-day Rocky Mountaineer rail journey in SilverLeaf Service, and a guaranteed Ocean-View stateroom on a seven-night Holland America Line Alaska cruise.

The cruise visits such sights as the Inside Passage and World Heritage-listed Glacier Bay, as well as stops in Ketchikan, the Alaskan capital Juneau and historic Skagway.

Other key tours include:

  • The 19-day Passage of the Rockies & Alaska Cruise, exploring the Canadian Rockies and cruising the Alaska coast with a guaranteed Ocean-View stateroom, with highlights including a visit to Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary, a stay at Mike Wiegele Heli Village and a special Farewell Dinner at the beautiful Butchart Gardens in Victoria.
  • Rockies & Alaskan Adventure, a comprehensive 23-day discovery with the Holland America Line cruise, along with highlights such as a wagon ride and BBQ on the banks of Bow River, an overnight stay at idyllic Emerald Lake Lodge, the chance to feed a moose at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Centre, and a Tundra Wilderness Tour led by a local ranger.
  • A shorter version is the 17-day Highlights of the Rockies & Alaska Cruise, with a delicious BBQ at South Thompson Inn, see Canadian wildlife up close at British Columbia Wildlife Park, and savour a feast at Maligne Lake Wilderness Kitchen.

There are also tours that explore eastern Canada, with its strong French influence, as well as charming New England and rail enthusiasts will enjoy unique train journeys through some of the US’s most spectacular landscapes and fascinating cities.
