Concrete Playground has launched a new e-commerce travel platform aimed at the Gen Z and Millennial market.
Concrete Playground Trips (CP Trips) will create itineraries for trips across Australia and New Zealand designed to appeal to its audience, based on extensive research and feedback across the pillars of money-can’t-buy and GOAT experiences, outdoor adventures, luxury getaways and city breaks.
Each itinerary will include flights, accommodation and experiences, all bookable through the platform, with flexible travel arrangements and a dedicated customer service channel.
Powered by TRAVLR, a travel technology platform that licenses its full-service travel platform to lead media companies such as Paramount ANZ, BBC Global News and Australian Community Media, it enables audiences to discover, plan and book curated, once-in-a-lifetime travel experiences all in the one branded ecosystem.
Founder and director of Concrete Playground, Rich Fogarty said that providing travel experiences was a natural evolution for the Concrete Playground brand.
“For 13 years, we have been the go-to destination for the best experiences on offer across Australia and New Zealand, so it’s only fitting that we take this one step further and actually offer these as bookable experiences to our dedicated audience,” Fogarty said.
“We know how important travel is to everyone post-pandemic, so we have taken every step to ensure we have the latest research and insights to provide only the most exclusive, GOAT experiences based on feedback and demand.”
As part of this launch, Concrete Playground conducted extensive research in April amongst its Gen Z and Millennial audiences across Australia and New Zealand to ensure they fulfilled current expectations and travel trends.
The research found that half of its Kiwi respondents and just over half of the Aussies were planning on doing more domestic trips, and 40 per cent of respondents said they’re planning on spending more than their pre-COVID spend.
As a result, CP Trips has chosen to focus on domestic itineraries within the Aussie and Kiwi markets and launch one hero experience per quarter, with ‘money-can’t-buy experiences’ and limited trips available.
In terms of destination popularity, Tasmania was on top of the list for Aussie respondents, resulting in CP Trips’ Five Days of Hobart’s Finest, sussing out the best of the capital.
Launching from today, the first hero experience from CP Trips is an exclusive experience at the Spring City Festival in Auckland headlined by Groove Armada, including VIP festival tickets, a 3-night stay in the luxury Hotel Britomart (New Zealand’s only 5-Star Green Hotel), a private sommelier and chef lunch at Ahi restaurant by New Zealand’s best known-chef, Ben Bayly and a helicopter flight to Waiheke Island for wine tasting at New Zealand’s leading luxury wine brand, Stonyridge Vineyard with the winery owner.
Throughout the year, CP Trips will release 12 unique itineraries per quarter, along with other enticing travel experiences.
