TTC Tour Brands hosted its first exclusive ‘Make Travel Matter’ Swisstainableglobal agent famil in partnership with Switzerland Tourism from 22-28 July, hosting eight Aussie agents.
The Australians were part of a global group of 34 agents from Australia, the Americas and Asia, who travelled on a one-of-a-kind tour, aligning the best of sustainability and Swiss excellence.
The famil itinerary saw agents experiencing Luxury Gold, Insight Vacations, Trafalgar and Costsaver while discovering the iconic sights, sounds and tastes of Switzerland.
Through the famil, agents enjoyed a number of ‘Make Travel Matter Experiences’ included in TTC Tour Brand’s itineraries that are based around the positive social or environmental impact they have on their communities and those who experience them.

The Aussie contingent were all Helloworld top sellers from the TTC Tour Brands Swisstainable Helloworld sales incentive that ran in March and April this year.
The Australian agents were hosted by two TTC Tour Brands Sales Managers; Emina Hiko, sales manager Southeast Queensland and Suzy McPhail, sales manager Victoria.
“Through our first fully sustainable tour itinerary and Switzerland Tourism’s Swisstainable initiative we visited hotels, restaurants and experiences that had a key focus on sustainability with each operator or owner aiming on reaching different levels of sustainable practices within their workplace,” Emina Hiko, said.
“Our agents had the opportunity to learn more about the sustainable levels that are a part of this great initiative and gained a greater understanding of the impact of TTC’s own sustainability initiatives, such as our ‘Make Travel Matter Experiences’, have on the places we visit, the people we meet and the wildlife we encounter.
“It was an honour to host our valuable top sellers through this incredible and educational journey to show how through our sustainability initiatives we can together Make Travel Matter.”
This seven-day famil highlights included:
Discovering Lucerne, St. Moritz and Geneva
Experiencing unrivalled mountain views aboard the Glacier Express
Exploring the mighty Matterhorn
Learning about sustainable restaurants, biodynamic wine production and innovative transportation
“This famil was a real eye opener to show how you can travel sustainably while touring and one my clients will be very interested about,” famil attendee, Helloworld Travel Kotara, Anthony Harris, said.
“It was also great to be on a famil in such a beautiful country and be able to experience not only one, but four great brands and be able to distinguish which one would be perfect for my clients and their travelling style with first-hand knowledge.”
