Unforgettable Travel Company has appointed former Wendy Wu Tours and Dnata Travel executive Nick Mathers as finance director.
As part of the appointment, Mathers will also join the company’s executive team, reporting into Graham Carter, co-founder of the business, which includes specialist luxury small-ship cruising company Unforgettable Croatia.
In his role, Mathers will lead the company’s financial strategy, planning and reporting across all brands, including Unforgettable Croatia, which has an Australian office in Melbourne.
He will oversee financial performance, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow management and financial controls, while supporting the leadership team with strategic planning as the business continues to expand internationally and grow its presence with travel trade partners.
“Nick brings a wealth of financial and travel industry experience to the business at an exciting time for our growth,” Carter said. “As we continue to expand our portfolio of brands and destinations, having someone with Nick’s strategic insight and operational expertise on the executive team will be invaluable.”
Mathers said he was delighted to be joining Unforgettable Travel Company and returning to the travel sector after most recently serving as finance director at Aura Alliance.
