Gray Dawes Travel is mourning the loss of colleague and friend, Bruce Ratcliff, vice president of Marine & Energy after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Ratcliff passed away peacefully at home last Friday morning, surrounded by family.
“Bruce was a gentleman,” Gray Dawes Travel posted on LinkedIn. “He was a remarkable leader, a trusted partner to so many, and a pillar of strength within our business and the wider corporate travel industry. His dedication to delivering exceptional service, his deep expertise in Marine & Energy travel, and his genuine care for colleagues and clients alike were qualities that defined his life and his work.
“For many years Bruce built strong relationships across our business and with clients around the world. He was passionate about his work and generous with his time and insight; always ready to support others and share his experience with warmth, humour, and integrity. He leaves a lasting legacy of professionalism, kindness and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
“Over recent days we have been humbled by the outpouring of stories, memories and messages from Gray Dawes colleagues and friends who knew Bruce; we have shared these with his family. These personal reflections speak to the profound impact he had on so many lives. While this news is incredibly hard for all of us, we hope the shared memories and kind words bring some comfort to Bruce’s family, friends, and to everyone whose lives he touched.
“Bruce will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.”
Travel Weekly extends our deepest sympathies to his family and work colleagues.
