Vietjet Air flights starting January 2027 from Western Sydney International Airport (WSI) to Vietnam have gone on sale.
From January 2027, Vietjet will operate two weekly services from WSI to Ho Chi Minh City, increasing to three weekly services in March.
Vietjet is commemorating the new route by offering a 20% discount on base fares for Deluxe, SkyBoss, and Business classes across all Australian routes with the sale period ongoing from 10 August, 2026 to 17 August, 2026. The sale covers the travel period between 7 September, 2026 to 31 March, 2027 excluding peak seasons, public holidays, and Lunar New Year.
Tickets for the Ho Chi Minh City flights taking off in January are available for purchase online with prices starting at AU$299, one-way. Vietjet’s 377-seat A330 aircraft will operate the WSI to Ho Chi Minh services.
“Vietnam is an incredibly popular destination for Aussie travellers – in 2025 alone more than half a million people traveled between New South Wales and Vietnam,” WSI CEO Simon Hickey said. “We’re thrilled that tickets will go on sale today for the initial services set to commence in January 2027 – perfect timing for communities looking to utilise some excellent launch offers and for those excited to travel for Lunar New Year, in early February.”
Additionally, the airline’s joint venture – Vietjet Thailand – also plans to operate four weekly services between WSI and Bangkok from November 2027, pending regulatory approvals.
