Viking, in partnership with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, has hosted Aussie travel advisors across two cultural evenings at Choral Splendour, a celebration of Baroque music performed by the Brandenburg Choir and Orchestra.
Hosted as a thank you to travel advisors during a demanding period for the industry, the events reflected Viking’s ongoing commitment to supporting the trade and building meaningful partnerships grounded in shared values of culture, artistry and lifelong learning.
The series began in Sydney on Tuesday 14 April, where Viking hosted a select group of travel advisors at Choral Splendour at the Sydney Recital Centre. The evening commenced with exclusive pre-‑performance drinks and canapés at The Establishment Bar, hosted by Viking’s national commercial manager Shaun Kavanagh, offering advisors a relaxed opportunity to connect ahead of the concert.
On Thursday 16 April, Viking hosted advisors at the Melbourne Recital Centre, with guests welcomed to Miss Pearl Bar & Dining for pre‑performance drinks and canapés hosted by Victorian Commercial Manager Joanne Cullen, followed by the uplifting evening performance.
Running from 10 to 19 April 2026, Choral Splendour brings together Bach’s iconic cantatas, the Double Violin Concerto in D minor, and works by Telemann and Handel, with choir and orchestra at full strength delivering an uplifting, emotionally rich celebration of Baroque music.
Viking’s partnership with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, now in its third year, reflects a shared commitment to cultural exploration and artistic discovery. In 2026, the collaboration will continue to give Viking guests and travel advisors enhanced access to the Brandenburg season, including premium tickets, VIP events and exclusive behind-the-scenes experiences, reinforcing Viking’s philosophy as The Thinking Person’s Cruise Line.
