Viking has rounded off a run of trade events across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, hosting travel advisors at Italian Serenatas, the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra’s latest exploration of Italian Baroque repertoire, as part of the cruise line’s ongoing partnership with the cultural organisation.
The events were designed to acknowledge the role travel advisors play in Viking’s success, while highlighting the company’s long-running relationship with the Orchestra.
The series opened in Melbourne on 18 June, with Viking’s Senior Events & Trade Coordinator Natalie Kessel hosting advisors at the evening performance at Melbourne Recital Centre. In Sydney, National Commercial Manager Shaun Kavanagh welcomed advisors to City Recital Hall on 24 June, before the series wrapped in Brisbane on 2 July, where advisors were hosted at QPAC by Commercial Manager (QLD) Helen Mezzen, Commercial Manager (QLD South & Northern NSW) Leon Hill, and Cruise Consultant Amber Boseley.
Italian Serenatas draws on works by Vivaldi, Corelli, Brescianello and Falconieri, tracing a musical route through Naples, Rome, Venice and Florence. Fronted by Italian baritone Renato Dolcini, the program blends music and storytelling to capture the drama and elegance of the Italian Baroque period.
Now in its third year, Viking’s partnership with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra underscores a shared focus on cultural exploration and lifelong learning. It gives Viking guests and travel advisors access to premium concerts, VIP events and exclusive experiences across the Orchestra’s season — reinforcing Viking’s positioning as The Thinking Person’s Cruise Line® and its emphasis on meaningful cultural engagement, both onboard and ashore.
