Virtuoso is a by-invitation-only travel network composed of the world’s most respected travel agencies and advisors, along with leading hotels, cruise lines, tour operators and destinations. Travellers booking with a Virtuoso agency benefit from exclusive amenities, insider access and tailor-made journeys.
The north and southeast Asia regional team currently oversee six key markets: Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand – each playing an important role in shaping the future of luxury and experiential travel, with Indonesia taking the spotlight this year as the host of the first Connects event in the region.
Welcome dinner at Raffles Bali
On the evening preceding the main event, Virtuoso advisors can enjoy an exclusive dinner experience at Raffles Bali. The evening takes place at Rumari, the resort’s signature restaurant, elegantly perched at its highest point. Guests can indulge in a thoughtfully curated menu designed to reflect the rich culinary heritage of Bali.
Cultural immersion through culinary experiences
The Connects event also includes a team-building Indonesian cooking class organized by Andaz Bali. This immersive cultural experience is aimed at deepening connections among attendees and reinforces Virtuoso’s belief in the power of immersive, local experiences that celebrate destination authenticity.
A shared vision for positive impact
The decision to partner with Andaz Bali and the Hyatt Hotels Corporation was grounded in shared values around responsible tourism. Virtuoso’s commitment to elevating travel as a force for good aligns closely with Hyatt’s on-the-ground conservation efforts, including initiatives such as the Hyatt Bebot beach-cleaning robot and the Sea Turtle Village Conservation Program.
“Our collaboration with Hyatt and Andaz Bali was a natural choice, given our shared focus on positive-impact travel,” Virtuoso general manager north and southeast Asia, Raymond Ang, said. “Their dedication to conservation and innovation reflects the values we hold at Virtuoso, where luxury travel doesn’t just inspire, but also protects and gives back.”
“It is a true honour to host Virtuoso’s first North and Southeast Asia Connects event in Indonesia at Andaz Bali,” Hyatt Regency Bali & Andaz Bali managing director, Herve Mazella, said. “This milestone moment not only celebrates the growth of luxury travel in the region but also highlights the shared values between Virtuoso and Hyatt, particularly our mutual commitment to meaningful, sustainable and locally rooted experiences. We are proud to be part of a partnership that elevates Bali’s cultural richness while inspiring purposeful travel for a new generation of global explorers.”
Momentum in north and southeast Asia
Virtuoso is investing significantly in growing its agency membership and preferred partner production across the region, driven by increasing demand for tailor-made travel. Connects Bali represents the first in a series of regional events this year aimed at cultivating strong local partnerships and strengthening the network across North and Southeast Asia.
“Launching the Connects series in Bali is more than symbolic – it’s strategic,” Ang added. “We are deepening our roots in the region and strengthening the advisor-partner ecosystem that drives Virtuoso’s global influence. We’re excited to welcome everyone to Bali – and soon to Tokyo and Seoul for additional Connects events this November.”
As Virtuoso continues to expand in North and Southeast Asia, local partnerships remain key to long-term success. With three member agencies – Blantara Travel, Travellino and TRUVI – already active in Indonesia, the network is well-positioned to tap into the region’s rising demand for bespoke, meaningful travel experiences.
