Visit Sunshine Coast (VSC) has appointed Renee Guillien as head of Industry and Trade Development, bringing more than 25 years of international and local experience across tourism, hospitality and destination development, to the role.

VSC chief executive officer Matt Stoeckel said Guillien’s appointment will strengthen the organisation’s focus on industry engagement and trade development.

“Renee brings a wealth of experience and a real passion for working with industry,” Stoeckel said. “We’re really looking forward to having her as part of Team Sunshine Coast as we continue to support our members and strengthen our presence in key markets.”

Guillien said she is looking forward to working closely with industry to support the region’s tourism sector.

“The Sunshine Coast has a strong and passionate tourism industry, and I’m excited to collaborate with members, operators and partners to further develop trade opportunities and strengthen industry capability,” she said.

“Having worked across a range of global destinations, I’m passionate about the role sustainable tourism can play in supporting vibrant and resilient communities, and I look forward to bringing that focus to this role.”

Guillien is a strong advocate for the region and enjoys making the most of its lifestyle, from exploring Noosa North Shore and Teewah Beach to sunset cruises along the Mooloolaba and Noosa rivers.

Her appointment reflects VSC’s continued commitment to strengthening industry capability and driving sustainable growth across the region’s tourism sector.

Visit Sunshine Coast is the official Regional Tourism Organisation for the Sunshine Coast, representing the local government areas of Sunshine Coast, Noosa and Gympie. VSC promotes the region to domestic and international visitors.

As a member-based organisation, VSC delivers marketing and promotional initiatives that support and strengthen the tourism industry, while maximising the long-term benefits of the visitor economy.
