The enormous potential of the Australia-China relationship across a range of sectors will be opened up for public discussion via two major events at Vivid Sydney, and readers of The Nibbler are getting a free seat.

Under the VIVID Ideas umbrella, CAMP LIVE! will highlight the massive potential for innovation in the Asian Century in its CAMP Summit Opening event, entitled ‘Leading Innovation in the Asian Century’.

The Nibbler readers are in for a treat, with a saving of $25 being given out to any keen MICE members wanting to attend the event. Given the tickets themselves cost $25, that means you can score one ticket free.

Hosted by the City of Sydney, the Opening will launch the summit at Town Hall on June 1, from 11am-12:30pm.

The event will feature a panel discussion featuring highly successful innovators and entrepreneurs, including Spark Corporation managing director Jean Dong, Pozible CEO Rick Chen, Jack Zhang of Chinese tech community Geek Park, Andrew Whitford, head of Greater China, Westpac and moderated by Holly Ransom, G20 Youth Summit Chair and global strategist.

Tickets are available online at this website, with the code VIPFREE10 required to get the saving of $25.

“We have attracted 130 phenomenal young leaders from China and Australia for a three month online innovation incubator culminating in a five-day face-to-face intensive summit during Vivid Sydney,” Myles said.

“The program has been designed to help facilitate a broader, more authentic relationship between our two nations.”

The entrepreneurs are working together in bilateral ThinkTank teams to tackle major issues faced by both countries including Westpac Digital Disruption, PwC Infrastructure, Swisse Health and Wellness, UoN Innovation in Education and UTS Entrepreneurship.

In addition to the opening, CAMP’s Gala Dinner, being held in the City of Sydney’s Town Hall on June 5, will showcase the best insights, projects and young talent to emerge from the 5 day Summit.

The audience will be among the very first to hear about the top ventures conceived by CAMP delegates as they pitch their co-created new ideas to a room of venture capitalists, sponsors, impact investors and the savviest amongst the business community, competing for funding to implement the most innovative plans.

CAMP is powered by Westpac, backed by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the NSW Government and being staged in collaboration with Vivid Ideas, part of Vivid Sydney. Vivid Sydney is owned and managed by Destination NSW, the NSW Government’s tourism and major events agency.
