South Australia’s HollyDay Travel is set to host its inaugural travel expo, ‘Wanderlust & Flavours’ on Sunday, 16 February 2025 at the Marion Bowling Club, Adelaide.

The event promises to bring together leading travel brands, exclusive deals, and expert presentations in an intimate setting.

Travel expert and ATAC Board vice chair Holly Velardo, a Women in Travel Entrepreneur of the Year 2024 shortlister, said the expo’s format is deliberately different from traditional travel shows.

“We’ve created an event that moves away from the overwhelming convention centre experience. Our expo offers a more personalised approach where visitors can actually have meaningful conversations with travel experts,” she said.

“After 25 years in the industry, I know clients want time to explore their options without feeling rushed. That’s why we’ve chosen a relaxed venue with free parking and limited crowds.”

A highlight of the expo will be the exclusive launch of HollyDay Travel’s ‘Hidden Gems of Calabria & Sicily’ tour, personally hosted by Holly and husband Angelo in September 2025. This intimate 15-day journey through Southern Italy’s less-travelled regions offers authentic experiences.

“This isn’t your typical Italian tour,” Velardo explained. “Angelo and I will take guests to the hidden corners of his homeland, introducing them to local families, secret restaurants, and villages that most tourists never see. Expo attendees who book on the day will get an incredible discount on this once-in-a-lifetime experience.”

The event will feature presentations from expert travel brands including Scenic River Cruises, Club Med, Trafalgar and NCL, with exclusive day-only deals available to attendees.

“Today’s travellers are seeking authentic experiences and expert guidance. This expo is designed to deliver both,” Velardo added.

The free event will run from 10am to 2pm, with major travel prizes to be won. Pre-registration is available through Eventbrite, though walk-ins are welcome.
