A Pennsylvanian church group has found a crafty way around event restrictions in the US by holding a service in a Walmart.

Walmart employee Nancy Halford posted footage of the service by going live on Facebook when she noticed what was happening around her, according to The Post Millennial.

The video shows a church group singing Christian songs, with customers watching on, recording and joining in.

In early April, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf told religious leaders that they would need to find “alternatives to in-person gatherings and to avoid endangering their congregants” as a result of the global pandemic.

The Post reported that though Wolf’s directive did not officially place restrictions on places of worship, many closed anyway under the guidance of religious leaders.

The footage was captured two months ago when restrictions in the US were much harsher.

The COVID-19 virus is still rampaging through the US, with cases hitting 5 million on Sunday.
