Distressing footage has emerged of a woman screaming and climbing arm and headrests during an apparent meltdown during a flight, as plane passengers watched on.
According to multiple reports, including from 7 News and Sky News Australia, the incident occurred during a flight to Detroit in the United States.
The woman repeatedly screamed, “We’re going to f*** all night” and “b******” during the meltdown, which was recorded by a watching passenger and compared online to events out of cult horror film The Exorcist (1973).
In the footage, the distressed passenger can be seen climbing seats, banging on overhead compartments, and thrusting her hips forward.
Three men in civilian clothing eventually confront the passenger and escort her to the front of the plane.
While it is unclear at which point of the flight the incident occurred, a male passenger is heard to remark, “Time to go home, girl”, as the woman is escorted.
Another passenger said the meltdown occurred after the woman “went to the bathroom”.
