Wendy Wu Tours has added three new international destinations to its travel roster, inviting Australian travellers to explore South Africa, Saudi Arabia and Colombia with the operator in 2024 and 2025.

“Over the years, I have lost count of the number of times I have been asked if we organise tours outside of Asia,” shared company founder Wendy Wu, “And the answer is, we absolutely do.”

Here is an overview of the three new additions:

Kruger to Cape Explored

Wendy Wu Tours new Kruger to Cape Explored is a 15 day ’Go Beyond’ style itinerary designed to show the diversity of this destination. The tour travels from Johannesburg, takes in the Panorama Route and features a three night stay in Greater Kruger National Park, before continuing to Gqeberha, Knysna, and finishing with a four night stay in Cape Town. Highlights include journeying into the wilderness to spot the big five in their natural habitat, wine tasting in some of the country’s best vineyards, venturing underground to experience the limestone labyrinth that is the Cango Caves, and getting up close with South Africa’s other favourite animals – the penguins of Boulders Beach. The tour is priced from $12,590 per person twin share.

Secrets of Saudi Arabia

The winds of change are blowing through Saudi Arabia, which only recently opened to non-pilgrims. To help explore this destination, Wendy Wu’s product team has created the Secrets of Saudi Arabia, an 11 day, fully inclusive group tour that travels from Riyadh to Buraidah, Ha’il, AlUla, Medina and finishing in Jeddah. Travellers can discover ancient fortresses, camel markets and UNESCO World Heritage Sites in its vast deserts, then experience its cities and high-speed bullet trains. The tour is priced from $12,980 per person twin share.

Colombia Discovery

The Colombia Discovery is a 16 day tour that hops between cosmopolitan cities, colonial towns, coffee haciendas and the Caribbean coast. This tour highlights everything there is to love about the enchanting and jaw-droppingly beautiful country of Colombia, from Bogota to Pereira, Medellin, Santa Marta and the vibrant UNESCO listed town of Cartagena.

The tour is priced from $14,690 per person twin share with departures in September and November 2024.
