Wendy Wu Tours has launched its new “China Uncovered” tour, the first of its kind to combine classic highlights with the latest top attractions together in a single 20-day itinerary for an immersive China experience.
Due to strong demand, the inaugural departure on 8 October 2026 is already close to selling out, prompting Wendy Wu Tours to release a second 2026 departure on 9 October 2026 to accommodate the growing interest from Australian travellers.
Travel to China has surged since the introduction of 30-day visa-free stays for Australians, contributing to a rise in popularity among Australian travellers. Australians are increasingly looking for itineraries that combine the country’s iconic highlights with destinations rarely seen on a single trip.
“China Uncovered offers travellers a rare opportunity to experience two of China’s most breathtaking landscapes, Guilin and Zhangjiajie, along with China’s classic highlights in one seamless journey,” Wendy Wu founder Wendy Wu said. “It is very rare to see both Zhangjiajie and Guilin featured in the one itinerary.
“This really is the ultimate experience of ancient, modern and futuristic China, combining nature, history, culture and technology in one journey. If you go to China once, this is the tour to do.”
The 20-day China Uncovered tour takes travellers through Beijing, Xian, Guilin, Yangshuo, Chongqing, a three-night Yangtze River cruise, Zhangjiajie and Shanghai. Regular departures are available from March to May 2027 and September to November 2027. The itinerary offers fully inclusive, expertly guided experiences designed to showcase the very best of China, from ancient cities and cultural treasures to modern attractions and natural wonders.
Among the cultural experiences featured on the tour, guests will witness Chongqing’s spectacular light show, where more than 5,000 synchronised drones create a stunning aerial performance featuring intricate animations and 3D animals, as well as the opportunity to relax in the city’s renowned hot spring resorts. Visitors will also walk along the Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge, soaring 430 metres above the canyon below.
China continues to captivate Australian travellers, offering incredible cuisine, vibrant cultures, and a wealth of experiences close to home. Wendy Wu Tours is expanding its portfolio of remarkable journeys, giving Australians even more ways to explore China with the confidence and convenience of fully- inclusive travel.
