GEMS Event Management has been announced as a finalist in the ‘Best Conference of the Year’.
The 2015 Incentive, Conference and Event Society Asia-Pacific (ICESAP) Business Events Excellence Awards are being held in Grand Hyatt in Hong Kong on August 31, with entrants in the running from right across the Asia-Pacific region.
GEMS’ nominated project, ‘Stormwater 2014’, is the only Australian-based event in the prestigious ‘Best Conference of the Year’ category.
‘Stormwater 2014′, the third National Conference on Urban Water Management convened by Stormwater Australia, has been widely recognised as the most successful professional development activity ever offered in the urban water sector.
GEMS’ general manager Julie McGraw said the team was thrilled with the nomination.
“We are over the moon to be listed as a Finalist in the ‘Best Conference’ category at the 2015 ICESAP Awards,” McGraw said.
“This is a true testament to both my team and our wonderful client, Stormwater Australia, who worked tirelessly in partnership to make ‘Stormwater2014’ such a success.”
It’s been an exciting year for GEMS Event Management, with Julie McGraw also recently being recognised as the ‘National Meetings Manager of the Year’ at the Meetings and Events Australia National Industry Awards.
“We are proud of the fact that Australian expertise has been acknowledged through this Awards program,” McGraw continued.
