Japanese culture is heading back to Aussie shores, with seminars hitting both Sydney and Melbourne.

The Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) will host its annual Japan Snow & Adventure Seminar in Sydney on May 18 and Melbourne on May 25 for outbound travel agents, media and airline partners.

The aim is to promote Japan as a ski holiday destination and provide participants with the latest information and offerings from Japan’s leading ski resorts.

At each seminar one lucky attendee will also win a return economy class air-ticket to Japan thanks to Japan Airlines and Qantas Airways.

The previous snow season in Japan was stronger than ever, with Aussie visitor numbers in December 2014, January 2015 and February 2015 totalling 116, 492 – a 24% up from the previous year.

Representatives from Japan’s main ski regions of Hokkaido, Nagano & Niigata and Tohoku will give presentations detailing the holiday experiences their regions offer and provide one-on-one consultations for agents.

Places for the seminars are limited and RSVPs are currently still open for Melbourne, closing on May 20.

Prior to the seminars, JNTO will exhibit at this year’s Snow Travel Expo, to be held in Sydney on May 17 and Melbourne on May 24. Those interested in Japan should drop by stand #6 in Sydney and #102 in Melbourne.
