Women in Travel Power List members gathered in Sydney last night for an intimate industry dinner hosted by Jacqui Walshe, CEO and managing director of The Walshe Group, bringing together some of the sector’s most influential women to reconnect and share ideas.
Held at Kiln in Surry Hills, the dinner saw senior leaders from across the travel ecosystem come together to strengthen relationships and discuss developments shaping the industry.
Among those attending were Jacqui Walshe, CEO and managing director of The Walshe Group; Katrina Barry, group CEO and managing director of Webjet Group; Deb Corbett, CEO Asia Pacific at Ponant; Dani Galloway, global managing director – luxury and independent brands at Flight Centre Travel Group; Toni Ambler, managing director AUS & NZ for Contiki, Trafalgar and Insight Vacations; Penny Spencer, managing director of Spencer Group of Companies; Kathryn O’Brien, general manager Australia at Air New Zealand; Kathryn Robertson, executive manager global sales and distribution at Qantas; Hoda Alzubaidi, general manager and publisher at Travel Weekly; Sofia Geraghty, deputy editor at Travel Weekly; and Anastazia Uglow, owner and director of The Misfits Media Company and roving editor at Travel Weekly.
Inspired by the Women in Travel Power List, the gatherings provide an opportunity for senior women in the industry to connect outside the day-to-day demands of the sector while celebrating female leadership across Australia’s travel community.
