World Travellers has appointed Victoria Courtney as an independent director to its board.
Courtney joins the board with extensive experience in strategic leadership and partnership management.
“I’m thrilled to be joining the board at such a pivotal time,” Courtney said. “I’m looking forward to contributing to the next chapter of growth and supporting the cooperative’s members as the industry continues to evolve.”
Courtney’s role as independent director will support the cooperative’s commitment to strong governance, transparent decision-making, and long-term value creation for members. Her background spans financial management, corporate strategy, product development, and commercial negotiation.
Prior to the appointment, Courtney served as managing director for Flight Centre Travel Group New Zealand.
“[Victoria] understands our model, our members, and the commercial environment we operate in,” World Travellers chair Wendy van Lieshout said. “Her governance experience and strategic clarity will be invaluable as we deliver on our exciting plans for the future.”
Just last month, World Travellers announced the appointment of Jodie Burnard as general manager.
World Travellers is a New Zealand cooperative founded in 2010 for independent travel businesses.
