EasyJet has just launched a new app allowing customers to instantly book flights using just a photo.

Which seems pretty dangerous to us, seeing as we’re chronic sufferers of Instagram FOMO.

Looks like we’re going to go broke every time one of our friends posts a travel photo.

The app is a travel industry first and uses advanced image recognition techniques to identify the location pictured.

The app will then suggest the nearest airport and pre-populate booking forms with those details.

And all you have to do is browse Instagram, snap a screenshot and upload it to the EasyJet app.

“Look&Book will help people to further explore Europe with ease and open up new destinations and previously hidden holiday locations for a range of customers,” Daniel Young, Head of Digital Experience at easyJet said.

“It’s fantastic how technology is enabling us to enhance and streamline the customer search and booking experience.”

Created by creative agency VCCP in partnership with Travelport Digital, a leader in digital travel solutions, Look&Book is supported by a social and DOOH campaign which will include a launch film. The easyJet app is currently available in English language only.
