A rapidly expanding youth travel brand has its eye on the Australian market, enlisting the support of Evolution Travel Collective (ETC) to fast-track its expansion with agents down under.
UK-based TruTravels has been expanding its offering for Aussie and Kiwi travellers in the post-pandemic environment, with a spate of new experiences and a new way of categorising its trips to appeal to Gen Z.
Whilst the core of their original ‘classic’ product range is in Asia, TruTravels has recently expanded into select destinations in Europe & Latin America where appeal continues to grow for the youth traveller.
TruTravels has also expanded its travel styles, now offering four different travel styles across 17 countries around the globe including Flashpacker, Fitventures, Sailventures and their original “Classic” tours.
Mark Pope, co-founder of TruTravels, said it made perfect sense for the company to choose ETC to partner with as part of their focus on the Australia travel trade.
“We are committed to working with the Australian travel industry and we see ETC’s expertise, specifically in the small group/youth sector, as the perfect way to help us ensure we can continue to grow our brand presence with agents in the region,” he said.
TruTravels was acquired by G Adventures in 2018 to keep up with the “new, grassroots style of small group travel that was emerging for young people,” according to G Adventures founder Bruce Poon Tip.
The UK-based company was founded in 2012 by Pope and fellow entrepreneur Joe Fallon, who continue to run the company as partners and minority shareholders.
