Walking on the roof of the MCG and then ziplining across its hallowed turf could become Melbourne’s latest tourism attraction.
The Melbourne Cricket Club is yet to release the finer details of the project, but says a $650,000 federal government grant has given a green light for the design of a “roof experience” attraction above the stadium.
Visitors will be able to walk 70 metres above ground and then zipline from the city end scoreboard to the opposite side of the stadium, the MCC says.
